
Awards and Publication
Over $50,000 in cash rewards and other scholarships will be presented to award-winning students. Cash awards range from $500 to $5000. All accepted artwork will be reproduced in a full color catalogue that is distributed within the industry. All students with accepted artwork will receive a Certificate of Merit. These certificates will accompany the original art upon it’s return.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Deadline for entries: February 4, 2009
Awards presentation: May 8, 2009
Exhibition: May 6- June 6, 2009
Artwork Pickup: Week of June 8, 2009
Eligibility:
1. Must currently be an undergraduate student who is a matriculating arts major in an accredited art school, college, or university. High school students and graduate students are NOT eligible.
2. Entries must be submitted in group form by schools only, NOT by individual students.
3. Each student and school may submit as many entries as they wish.
4. Work must have been created within this academic year (January 2008-December 2008).
FEES:
There is an entry fee of $5.00 per entry. Each school can issue one check to cover all of the entries per school.
JURY
1. Approximately 125 works will be accepted by the juries in the preliminary judging. Judging is by an anonymous, lightbox system which insures fairness since the jurors have no indication of which student or which school they are viewing.
2. Once selected in the preliminary judging, the original artwork will be requested for final review and awards selection. Digital prints are only accepted for digitally created works and must not exceed 18″x24″. Students will be notified at the time of their acceptance into the competition.
3. Student transcripts must be provided for all students accepted into the show. Professor and class from which the accepted artwork has originated must be highlighted.
IMPORTANT: Students who do not have a transcript submitted will be removed from the competition.
