In June’s issue of CMYK Portfolio, you’ll find two pieces by Aimee Wang. She was chosen among many emerging artists to display her work. The judge, Kathy Osborn, praised her selections: “Unbelievable talent! I don’t see how most of these artists could ever quit.”

This year’s four Zankel finalists included MICA’s Becca Stadtlander, chosen from hundred of entries from art colleges across the US. This is the 3rd year for the Zankel and the 2nd year MICA has placed in the finalist group.
The finalists are treated to a day in NYC prior to their interview for the award. This $20,000 scholarship is given to a rising senior who has been first nominated by their department, submitted a portfolio of images, written an essay and then selected for entries from throughout the US. Congratulations to Becca for all her hard work on the Zankel.

Jo will appear at Otakon 2009 in Baltimore, MD as a guest of UDON Entertainment (Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, etc.) from July 17 - 19 at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Jo will be meeting folks and signing books and prints. And if you catch her at the right moment (depending upon the line), she’ll take time to look at your portfolio for some pointers.
Look for Jo at the UDON booth and be there with bells on!
